Global Tidal Predictions

Using a finite element model based on satellite observed altimetry, We have developed a prediction for tidal levels relative to Mean Sea Level (MSL) or Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) anywhere in the world can be predicted at a resolution of 1/16˚ (approximately  5 miles).

USAGE

What does this mean for you?  If you have a location anywhere in the world where you’d like a tidal prediction – we can generate it, for any date – past or future.  You are not restricted to using tidal stations from government agencies, or for locations on the wrong side of a headland.

This data can be used to provide tidal information for marine websites, produce decades of data for Tide Watches or you can print your own custom, hyper local tide calendars.

ACCURACY

How good is the data?  Here are four sample plots comparing Graematter Tide plots at a lat/lon with the NOAA Tidal station predictions at the same location.
